Mad Scientist’s Smooth Hoperator is a great looking beer. From its 8-bit-esque label to the cloudy, orange liquid in the glass, it’s got the look nailed down.
And because it’s Mad Scientist, you know the taste is on point as well. A delicious, easy-drinking IPA, Smooth Hoperator, as the name suggests, tends towards sweet and sour rather than bitter. In fact, unlike the Primator IPA we covered a few weeks back, there’s almost no bitterness. The main notes here are fruity mango and sour lemon, as well as a touch of hops, which makes this a great, interesting tipple even for those who aren’t craft beer fanatics.
At 6.0%, it’s not going to knock you out, but it’ll keep you just as warm through the autumn as it kept us cool over the summer.
