Tipple of the week: BrewDog Jet Black Heart (4.7%)

The Dark Ages. Photo: BrewDog.

You might have caught our Brewdog Budapest review yesterday (if you missed out then find it here) & we felt it would only be right that this week’s tipple belonged to The Craft Beer Giants.

The tipple in question is of course Jet Black Heart. A classic oatmeal stout. It pours blacker than  an Xenomorph–  it is a delicious, liqourice like beast.

Now be forewarned. This one is a nitro beer. Some people take issue with that. You may be asking what the hell is nitro & why should it matter? Well, nitro was originally first added to beer by The Guinness Brothers. In theory, nitro should make for a smoother, creamier taste. There will be those of you out there who can’t stomach anything pioneered by the now Diageo owned Dubliners. The rest of will just get on with it.

This bad boy is a perfect stout. . For a beer that is under 5% abv it sure does pack a real punch – it’s still very approachable & easy to drink.

Living in perputal darkness – Jet Black Heart is your go to brew for the long winter months ahead.

Jet Black Heart is available at Brewdog Budapest by the tap & by the bottle.
